Currently, Sormeh is a dental student at the Dalhousie University graduating in the DDS2027 class. She does biomaterials research about Xerostomia (dry mouth). She also loves giving back to her community through helping pre-dental/med students through founding Luminary. 

 

For her undergrad, Sormeh went to York University for Biomedical Sciences, where she also did microbiology research on MEKK3 pathway and founded Bright Future Dentists pre-dental club.

She is passionate about pre-med/dent mentorship because she wants to tackle barriers she faced when applying to dental school. As being a Iranian immigrant, she is especially passionate about mentoring. As a result she has mentored numerous predentals through her Instagram account @health_sormeh. She looks forward to getting to know more of you!
